[12.20-22] bruges (day 1- eating and drinking)*

beer wall by the canal: time for beer!  

order brugse zot (locally brewed beer) or

gordon x-mas (dark brown ale, special beer for x-mas)

ask for a coin at the bar if you'd like to use their fancy bathroom with a fishtank basin.

modern cuisine, fab but rather rich

35 euro for 3 course meal

had rather an elaborate lunch:

-grilled eel on poached egg and potatoes as starter

-chicken as main

-pear parfait as dessert

de vlaamsche pot (local flemish cuisine)

ordered northern sea fish soup, which came in a pot

only empty dishes left! 

but had ice cream as dessert
