[jia zhangke] a touch of sin (2013)

people were raving about this film 

but to me it was somewhat disppointing. 

office kitano sponsored the film along with some other companies/. 

the film alluded Jia's own films, but not in an interesting way...

eitehr scenes of or a scene prior to a moment of violence,

the digital footage gets grainy

(like in the car where Dahai kills the big boss in the Maserati,

or when the young man working at the hotel prior to his suicide,

as if they signal the murky psychological states of the characters or the muddy situations they find themselves in.

the film also collected scenes/shots that show how people (or animals) fall to the ground.
